New law on Hand-help mobiles
Anyone caught on a hand-held phone while driving will be subject to a £60 fine AND 3 points on your licence, which can be increased to a £1,000 fine if the matter goes to court (£2,500 if the driver is driving a lorry or a bus). People have asked if they can use it when stuck in traffic, the answer is The ban still applies. The ban applies when driving and driving includes time stopped at traffic lights or other hold-ups when a vehicle is expected to move off after a short while. The exception exists in lengthy tailbacks when engines are turned off.

Free
Mobiles2u supports both the Police and Rospa by saying that if YOU use a mobile
phone in a car and its not hands free, and you cause an accident or kill
someone, then you deserve whatever the law throws at you.
There is absolutely NO excuse for driving and talking on the phone, if you do you are stupid and irresponsible. Just think, if you have a visit from the police one day to tell you that one of your own family it could be your little girl, or your lovely boy had been killed by a driver who was chatting on the phone, what is going to be your reaction. Now put yourself in the place of the driver and ask your self....IS IT WORTH IT....NO its not.
